Portrait Coffee exists to reimagine the world of coffee. While coffee was first discovered by Africans, their faces have largely been forgotten, even as the drink became one of the most consumed beverages globally. Our name reflects a desire to change that picture.

Since launching in 2019, we’ve been featured on Good Morning America, won awards like the Google Black Founders Fund and Sprudge’s Most Notable Roaster, and shared thousands of pounds of our coffee. What started as a simple drink has become an ode to our ancestors—an invitation to drink with purpose.
